The new sheep house

This shelter has room for about 120 ewes. Though we have harsh winters, the shelter has no heating, sheeps generate enough heat to keep the inside temperatures in good shape. We have also 3 rams.

Construction was started by cutting the forest down in autumn 2004. At the same time the rudimentary land shaping was done.

After winter, the extra rocks were blown away and during spring 2005 the basement and ground floor were constructed.

Summer went fast with the walls and ceiling and painting. Finally, in October 2005 everything was ready and the sheeps got a new house.

So far everything has worked well and the inhabitants seems to enjoy their new "premises".
